The Ticker got an inside peek during final preparations at Traverse City’s newest microbrewery, The Filling Station. The new pub, located at the former train depot on Railroad Place near Eighth and Woodmere Streets, is slated to open next week. The Klepper family and David Cannizzaro (brewer) own and operate the railroad-themed brewery, and will offer up to 16 different beer varieties brewed on-site, including London Porter and Mumbai IPA. Food will include pizzas from their all-new stone pizza oven, as well as specialty salads. The Filling Station will seat sixty, plus a seasonal patio with room for dozens more, all overlooking the railroad tracks, library, and Boardman Lake.
