TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. Emmy-winning actor, musician and Michigan native, Jeff Daniels, returns to City Opera House for a musical performance benefitting City Opera House.  An Evening with Jeff Daniels will feature his newest album, Keep It Right Here and more. Tickets are $32, $40 and special ticket package $125 (see below for details)

Daniels has proven that he is not an actor who sings, but an accomplished singer/songwriter whose musical talent does not require the support of his acting.  What started out as a “good idea” to raise funds for The Purple Rose Theatre (a not-for-profit professional company Jeff founded in his hometown, Chelsea, MI) turned into five albums and recent tour across the country in support of his most recent album Keep It Right Here.

COH Circle Tickets ($125) include a private after party with Jeff Daniels to benefit City Opera House. The vibe goes on immediately following the show at Seven Monks Taproom. COH Circle Tickets include VIP seating, private after party at Seven Monks Taproom which includes a photo op and private meet n’ greet with Jeff Daniels, twocomplementary drinks (46 craft beers on tap!), and great grazing on the best pub food in town. A portion of each COH Circle ticket will be donated to your non-profit City Opera House to Keep Arts at the Heart.

“Listening to Daniels makes you think you’ve known him forever – not from movies like “Terms of Endearment,” “Dumb and Dumber” or “Gettysburg,” but in the way you know your best friend from grade school or your neighbor from the ice storm.” -The Sun Journal

“Daniels comes off as a regular guy, seeming genuine when delivering songs and stories. Unlike many musicians, he knows how to entertain, a quality that’s becoming a lost art in the world of music.” -Raleigh News & Observer

“Daniels seems to have made the transition from an actor who sings on the side to a bona fide blues singer who dabbles now and again on stage and in the movies.”

Tickets go on presale to City Opera House e-club members on Thursday, December 19 ,2013 and to the general public on Friday, December 220, 2013 at 10 am. Tickets are $32, $40 and special $125 COH Circle Ticket/After Party Package.

The LIVE at the Opera House series is sponsored by Auto Owners Insurance.

The City Opera House Heritage Association is proud to partner with Michigan State University’s renowned Wharton Center for Performing Arts. City Opera House is a non-profit destination attraction in the heart of the region, downtown Traverse City. Information at
