Glen Arbor host the Down by the Boone Dock’s Chili Cook-Off from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. This has become quite the event locally. If you’re into fishing check out the Perch Fishing contest it starts at 7am till 1pm, measure up at the Sportsman’s Shop next to the Boone Docks. February 19th Saturday

Like Music? Well, let’s Jazz it up a bit! The Bluebird located in downtown Leland will be hosting a fundraiser for the Leelanau Consevancy. The Annual Blues at the Bluebird concert will be held on Saturday February 19. Enjoy a buffet dinner at 6:30 pm, concert at 8:00pm and the sounds of Mississippi Heat from Chicago. Glen Arbor Art Association kicks off the “Taste the Passion” wine tour weekend. The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor is hosting the wine and art open house at Mountain Flowers Lodge, with small plate tapas paired with wines from throughout the peninsula. This Event will benefit the Glen Arbor Art Association for class scholarship and their school art program. Homestead is offering a package with the event call 231-334-5000 for details at the Resort. This event involves a 2 mile run up the Sleeping Bear sand dunes, 17 mile bike ride around Little Glen and Big Glen and the final event is a One Paddle event on the water! Can you do it! Here’s the details: 2011 M22 Challenge registration opens March 1, 2011 at www.m22challenge.com only 400 spots! The 3rd Annual Challenge takes place June 11th same day as the Leland Wine Festival!
