The Pinafore Pirates

The Pinafore Pirates Musical

What happens when a bunch of pirates… women pirates… raid the island of Paragonia and kidnap the boyfriend of Daisy Corcoran (daughter of Buttercup)? Non-stop hilarity ensues as Daisy calls upon Iolanthe, Princess Ida, the Mikado and other Gilbert & Sullivan characters to sing their way to her aid!

This delicious send-up has an outstandingly tuneful score, with script and lyrics bursting with Malcolm Sircom’s (Olivia, Ebenezer) wit and humor. Audiences are bound to be captivated, whether Gilbert and Sullivan fans or not, as this superb musical stands on its own.

Interlochen Sound Check: Vote for Your Favorite

Interlochen is hosting a Facebook video competition, and we need your help! Students who have been accepted to a 2012 Interlochen Arts Camp high school music program were invited to submit a video of their best performance for a chance to win a full scholarship (including travel and uniform costs!). All of the qualified entries are now ready to be viewed on our Facebook page. And here’s where you come in—the winner will be chosen by public vote.

So please head over to our Facebook page, check out the videos, and vote for your favorites. Voters are limited to one (1) vote per day, per video entry, up to a maximum of five (5) video entries, from now until April 13, 2012.

To find out more about the competition, including the complete rules, details, FAQs and more, visit www.interlochen.org/soundcheck.
