Live For Art Gallery Event in Beulah MI
GALLERY FEATURES LOCAL ARTIST IN AUGUST
BEULAH, Mich., July 20, 2012 – Live for Art Gallery in downtown Beulah will feature the work of Honor, Michigan, artist Mary Kay Niemiec in August. An Artist Reception will be held at the gallery on Sunday, August 5th from 2-4PM.
While primarily a watercolorist, Niemiec also paints with oil and works with mixed media. She has studied with many talented instructors, participated in juried shows, and has had several group and solo presentations. According to Niemiec, “the picturesque surrounding area offers endless inspiration for landscape and nature paintings. I love the process of beginning with a blank canvas and making a statement with style and color.”

Lake Leelanau Walleye Festival and Spring Music Festival May 19 / 27
The fest will be held on 40 Acres that Bruce Price owns at the corner of Eagle Highway and N. Lake Leelanau Dr May 27th they are moving the blues festival from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Cudos to Amber who owns the Fish Hook in Leland for stepping up to organize. So far there are 2 blues bands, 2 bluegrass and one funky soul band lined up.
Grand Traverse Are Sports Fishing Association is running the actual tournament on May 19th.
Don’t forget the parade and make not that the route has been changed to the west side run East.

Downtown Beulah. A day of fun filled winter activities that start with a pancake breakfest.
Followed by: snowmobile poker run, co-ed softball tournament, horse drawn hay rides, frozen fish toss, frozen turkey bowl, rubber duckrace, chili cook off, parade bonfire on the beach with fireworks!

New Natural Food Market in Frankfort
A new food market has opened its doors in Frankfort. Charlie’s Natural Food Market sells food and household products with an emphasis on local, organic and bulk products. Owner Charlie McDaniel says the store has plans for cooking and canning classes, music events and a Café space. The market is located at 76 Airport Rd. in Frankfort, next to the Betsie Hosick Health & Fitness Center, just off Frankfort Highway (M-155). New Art Gallery
Live for Art Today Sept 3, the new Live For Art Gallery in downtown Beulah is hosting an open house with ribbon cutting to celebrate its opening this month. A unique studio experience showcasing distinctive artistry for new and existing collections, the gallery also features artist statement videos to provide an understanding of each artist’s intentions and creative process.
