New Art Gallery
Live for Art Today Sept 3, the new Live For Art Gallery in downtown Beulah is hosting an open house with ribbon cutting to celebrate its opening this month. A unique studio experience showcasing distinctive artistry for new and existing collections, the gallery also features artist statement videos to provide an understanding of each artist’s intentions and creative process. Empire – Glen Arbor Winterfest
Glen Arbor host the Down by the Boone Dock’s Chili Cook-Off from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. This has become quite the event locally. If you’re into fishing check out the Perch Fishing contest it starts at 7am till 1pm, measure up at the Sportsman’s Shop next to the Boone Docks. February 19th Saturday
Same day is the Empire Winterfest with a polar dip at 2:00pm at South Bar Lake for all those that don’t want to wait till Spring to get wet! The Masonic Lodge on Front Street in Empire is having Portuguese Soup or Spinach Tortellini with Complimentary coffee or Hot Cocoa for $5.00 from 1-3pm.

Glen Arbor Art Association kicks off the “Taste the Passion” wine tour weekend. The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor is hosting the wine and art open house at Mountain Flowers Lodge, with small plate tapas paired with wines from throughout the peninsula. This Event will benefit the Glen Arbor Art Association for class scholarship and their school art program. Homestead is offering a package with the event call 231-334-5000 for details at the Resort. Ticket available at the door for $20 6-8 PM (Friday) the Lodge is located in the Village area at the Resort.
